“northern lights, very common up here and right in our own backyard”
This was sent from Aida again.. from North of 61. This is where she lived right now. When ppl say i’m spunky.. because i’m in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.. i tell them there is someone even spunkier than I and she lives in Nunavut… the land of eskimos. Why i think Aida is spunkier.. it’s because Aida is from Malaysia.. and for those who are not aware of this.. Malaysia.. is a hot, hot country. This must be a 360 degree change for Aida.. but she never once B.I.T.C.H about it. She just took in all her new experience in stride. I salute Aida.

“view of town in winter from airplane..literally in the middle of nowhere“
See what i mean.. when i said .. Aida is spunkier..!! look at all the white..!!!!

“how babies are carried in the north”

“long and extremely cold winter, this was taken after a blizzard”

These were sent by Aida from Footprints from the North of 61 , now Aida is a very special woman. Why ..?? Well.. actually all women who chooses to leave home.. and uproot in the name of love.. i admire .. and think they are special.. but for Aida.. she lives in Nunavut, now if you know where Nunavut is.. you’ll know how cold it is up there. I complained so much that Yarmouth, Nova Scotia is cold.. Nunavut must be like 100 times colder. But boy..! this woman is not only spunky.. but resourceful.. and also very good with her hands and most importantly very adventurous..!!

Here are some of corner brook, newfoundland where she lived for 1.5 years.
Aida said.. ” water can be taken from roadside pipe and drink its from natural spring water “

Attached are are two pictures of KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Center), one morning and one night. Taken on July 4th from PNB Darby Park Service Apartment on the 35th floor.
KLCC stands 451.9 meter high. It has two towers with 88 storeys each. It was opened on 8/31/1999 by then PM, Datuk Seri Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad. There is a double deckered bridge which links both towers are 41st and 42nd floor (pic img4881.jpg). The shopping center below these two towers is Suria KLCC and I love shopping there.

KLCC by nite..! awesome lightings eh..?

Awesome pictures .. Anna..!! thank you so much for sharing one of the most prominent buildings in KL with us. This is definitely on my list to visit.. when i come home.

Toledo, OregonPosted on August 17th, 2008 @ 2:01 am
Thanks to Karen from of Falcon Says who lives in Toledo, Oregon, near Oregon central coast. The pictures below are beautiful.

Karen said: “The bridge and port pic is actually Newport, Oregon’s Yaquina Bayfront. Looking out beyond the bridge, that is the Pacific Ocean. Where we are standing is a dock just below the Bayfront shopping area and restaurants.”

Next, is from inside our home, it’s ‘Missy’. She’s older than dirt. Toledo is a small logging town with a lumber mill, one bank, one store and one gas station.

You can see the woodsy Toledo out my window, and I’ll include one more pic of our horsie, Foxxy, (since I was thrilled to see so many horsies on your site!) The pasture fills up in winter as the tide water table rises inland. Now, it’s much prettier, water is down and grass is thick and rich.
Thank you so much for sharing your world with us..!

Lancaster, PennsylvaniaPosted on August 16th, 2008 @ 12:37 am
Well.. our very first guest on this blog is Jenn from Lancaster, Pennsylvania .. and she had some pictures to share with us. Jenn’s blog is : jenn.nu

Hi! I’m Jenn, and I live in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (though my hometown is Philadelphia; we moved to Lancaster when I was 13 years old. I am now 24!). Yes, Lancaster as in home of the PA Dutch aka Amish Country. I live four miles away from the famous Strasburg Railroad (www.strasburgrailroad.com), and I am surrounded by farms, fields and Amish. I share the road with the Amish and their horse-drawn buggies, and I love raising my children in the quiet countryside that is still just an hour’s drive from two major cities: Harrisburg and Philadelphia.

Horsey..!

My favorite..!! cows..!!

Horsey again.

According to Jenn .. this path is not used often. And that the preferred mode of transportation in her area is motor vehicle, and then followed by horse drawn buggy.

Train..!!
Thank you so much Jenn..!!! Yer awesome..!!
